On a book project the last thing you write
is the introduction. A foreword is a great way to hide the fact that you didn’t
do what you set out to do in the first place. It’s where you pretend that what
you’ve delivered is what you intended.
You can’t do that with a blog. So I’ll
start with an apology – for foisting this on you. It won’t end up being what it
set out to be so I won’t bother you with my intentions for it.
I used to tell people that I became a
television producer to protect my writing from being mangled by other TV producers.
It was a complete lie. Other TV producers didn’t want to touch me as a writer.
I became a producer so I could employ me as a writer.
This is a bit the same – this Blog will be
my dream publisher – no editor and a CEO who thinks every bit of drivel that
comes off my keyboard is worth reading – hence the apology.
I do hope you get a bit of a kick out of it though.
The big thing you notice about a blog is that the first thing you write goes to the end as soon as you add something new - live and learn.
